The Architects of Legendary Tone
Founded in Denmark in 1976, TC Electronic set the audio gold standard with the launch of the legendary SCF Chorus.
From humble beginnings to a global movement, here's how we got here.

Brothers Kim and John Rishoj founded TC Electronic in Denmark and created the legendary SCF pedal, celebrated for its transparent tone and 40-year production run.

TC Electronic expanded into studio gear with the TC2290, a legendary delay unit inducted into the TEC Hall of Fame in 2015.

The TC Group is formed. Over the following years the group is joined by a number of professional audio brands, including Tannoy, Lake, TC Helicon, Lab Gruppen and TC APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES.

System 6000, TC Electronic’s innovative dynamics and effects processor, takes the pro audio world by storm. The unit quickly becomes a prominent tool within both the film and music industries, and receives a TEC Award in Signal Processing Technology/Hardware.

TC Electronic launched TonePrint pedals with smartphone preset beaming and the PolyTune, the world’s first polyphonic tuner and winner of a TEC Award.

TC Electronic launched the Ditto Looper, a simple one-knob pedal that became a global best-seller and essential practice tool for guitarists.

Music Tribe acquires the TC Group. With the acquisition, TC Electronic joins Behringer, Bugera, Midas, Turbosound and Klark Teknik in what later evolves into the Music Tribe.
